Attorney Jeremy Abay Selected to Speak at 2 PBI Events

Our firm, Sacks Law, LLC, is pleased to announce that our own Attorney Jeremy Abay will be speaking at two seminars hosted by PBI, also known as the Pennsylvania Bar Institution. The seminars are titled, “Uber & Lyft: Where Are We Going?” One is slated for Pittsburgh, and the other is for Philadelphia, as well as Simulcasts and Live Webcast. Topics covered include the employment status of drivers, self-driving cars, consumer rights, the environmental impact and potential regulation, data collection practices, unemployment compensation issues, and the intersection of law and technology.

Uber and Lyft have quickly become one of the foremost ways that Pennsylvanians travel on a daily basis. With their unparalleled skyrocketing level of growth, these companies have opened an entirely new industry. There are various legal repercussions, however, involving the state, cities, drivers, consumers, and these companies themselves. Since these companies have opened up a relatively new industry of ridesharing apps, the laws are generally unregulated and underdeveloped.

The Philadelphia Simulcasts & Live Webcast will take place on November 28, 2017 at 12:00-3:15PM. The Pittsburgh event will take place on December 11, 2017 from 12:00-3:15 PM. Our team at Sacks Law, LLC is thrilled to support Attorney Abay as he imparts his knowledge and experience on attorneys throughout the Pennsylvania Bar.
