Attorney Andrew Sacks was presented with the Committee of the Year award by the Philadelphia Bar Association, Business Law Section in front of 150 of his peers at the Pyramid Club. The Business Law Section Annual Reception event was held on February 13, 2018, and Attorney Sacks was the guest of honor. He has received this award for his work as the founder and co-chair of the Medical Marijuana and Hemp Committee. His co-chair, Justin Moriconi of Moriconi Flowers LTD, was also presented with the award.
The Medical Marijuana and Hemp Committee upholds the integrity of medical marijuana programs across the state. It provides information to attorneys facing legal issues regarding medical marijuana and hemp. The laws concerning the use and sale of these substances are constantly changing, and Attorney Sacks has worked diligently to get the Pennsylvania medical marijuana program up and running. The committee has been able to complete all measures sooner than other similar programs in the state of Pennsylvania, a feat that has warranted recognition by the Philadelphia Bar Association. Attorney Andrew Sacks is also a lawyer-member of the Pennsylvania Cannabis Coalition (PCC).
